Seaside. To Gimli, it was the world's edge. He looked to Legolas, who was looking at the sea. No, not simply looking... longing. You knew, he chided. You knew about this. They all go over the sea, in the end. It was what Elves did, but Barak Khazad! He couldn't understand it. Finally, he had to ask. "Why?" "Come with me." He became half-angry, that was no answer and dammed if he would chase after an Elf. But Legolas gave him a look so similar to how he looked at the sea that it startled him. And he couldn't refuse. |
